Haisley Finds Faith When She Wasn’t Looking on “Wasn’t Looking For You”

Singer-songwriter Haisley returns with her new single, “Wasn’t Looking For You,” a deeply personal reflection on finding God when she wasn’t searching for Him – and discovering that sometimes the most life-changing things arrive unexpectedly.

Set against a fresh, pop-forward sound, the song approaches faith from an honest and unconventional perspective. Rather than beginning with someone searching for answers, “Wasn’t Looking For You” captures the experience of being caught off guard by God’s presence and realizing He was there before you ever knew you needed Him.

“This song came from the idea that I wasn’t looking for God when He found me,” says Haisley. “I wasn’t searching for something to fill a missing piece. He simply showed up in my life in a way I couldn’t ignore, and everything began to change.”

While rooted in Haisley’s personal faith journey, the lyrics leave space for listeners to connect with the song through their own experiences. Its contemporary, pop-forward production marks a continued evolution in her sound while maintaining the vulnerability and storytelling at the heart of her music.

Haisley’s songwriting has received recognition from the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, San Diego Music Awards, USA Songwriting Competition, and Unsigned Only Music Competition. She She continues to write, record and perform between Southern California and Nashville.
