“Listen to the Experts” by ELEVEN onzelf is the kind of track that keeps you guessing. Just when you think you understand where the music is going, it takes another turn. With its changing rhythms, rising energy, and jazz fusion feel, the song creates an exciting listening experience that matches the questions it raises.
At the heart of the track are two important themes: mistrust in science and the growing difficulty of trusting one another. The title itself invites listeners to think about how much confidence we place in experts and whether we always know who or what to believe. Rather than making everything feel simple, the song leaves room for listeners to form their own opinions.
Musically, the track feels like a rollercoaster. The rhythm and energy build up before suddenly shifting direction, keeping the listener alert and making it difficult to predict what will happen next. Its modern jazz fusion sound gives it an edgy character, while the unexpected changes help bring the tension of its subject matter to life.
The music video adds another interesting layer to the experience. Exploring cybersecurity, surveillance, and hacking, it brings a darker side of modern technology into focus. Yet, despite these serious themes, the video includes playful surprises that make it more than just a straightforward warning about the digital world.
What I find interesting about “Listen to the Experts” is that it does not appear to offer one easy answer. Both the music and video encourage curiosity, questioning, and interpretation.
Overall, ELEVEN onzelf delivers an unusual and thought-provoking piece that combines musical adventure with themes that feel especially relevant in today’s world.
