Christian Alternative Rock Project SURREXIT Announces Debut Album Invisible Things

A new voice in cinematic Christian alternative rock is emerging with the debut release from SURREXIT, a project created by composer and producer Chris Ludlow. The album, titled Invisible Things, explores the unseen spiritual realities that shape human life — the tension between darkness and light, brokenness and redemption, and the eternal victory of Christ.

Inspired by 2 Corinthians 4:18, the album reflects on the biblical truth that what is unseen is ultimately more real and lasting than what is visible.
“Faith isn’t always clean or easy,” Ludlow explains. “It’s muddy. It’s confronting our imperfection while recognizing Christ’s perfection. Invisible Things is an honest look at that struggle and the hope that exists in the middle of it.”

Musically, SURREXIT delivers a powerful blend of atmospheric alternative rock, emotional intensity, and melodic accessibility driven by strong female vocals and expansive guitar textures. The result is a sound that feels cinematic while remaining deeply personal. Rather than presenting a polished version of faith, the album embraces the complexity of the Christian journey — acknowledging doubt, struggle, and spiritual warfare while pointing toward redemption and victory.

At its heart, Invisible Things carries a simple message: that beyond the visible world lies a deeper spiritual reality — and that discovering a relationship with Christ is worth seeking.
