Pop-punk outfit Kerosene Cocktail Releases new single “Polaroids”

Cornwall pop-punk outfit Kerosene Cocktail return with their new single “Polaroids”. The track was recorded at Cube Studios with producers Gareth Young and Ross Rothero-Bourge, marking a clear step forward in both the band’s sound and overall identity. Known for their raw, high-energy live shows, Polaroids captures that same intensity but channels it through a tighter, more refined production.

Built around layered guitars, driving rhythms, and hook-led vocals, the track expands on the band’s early sound without losing the edge that’s been building their following across the UK grassroots scene. At the centre of it all is 20-year-old frontwoman Jasmine Wills, whose vocal delivery brings a fresh energy and sharp identity to the track. Balancing attitude with melody, her performance gives Polaroids a modern edge while still sitting comfortably in that classic pop-punk space.

Polaroids leans heavily into contrast. It reflects on a time before everything became instant. When taking a photo meant something. When you had to wait for it,
hold it, and make the effort to send it to someone. That sense of commitment sits at the core of the track, wrapped in a sound that feels immediate, loud, and built for both radio and stage.

The band explain: “Polaroids is about when moments actually meant something. Before everything became instant and disposable. You had to commit to it. You had to wait for it. That’s what we wanted to capture, but still keep the energy high and make it hit hard.” Sonically, the track pushes into a wider and more confident space. The guitars are deliberately layered to create a full wall of sound, while the drums maintain a live, unpolished feel that keeps everything grounded. Vocally, the track focuses on strong, natural hooks that land without feeling forced. The result is a track that feels
equally at home blasting through speakers or being played live in a packed room.

Following the release of their debut single SMYT, Kerosene Cocktail have been steadily building momentum through consistent live performances and a rapidly growing audience. With Polaroids, the band move into a new phase. More focused. More confident. And impossible to ignore.
