Edward Buadee, known as Buadee, is a reggae artist from Ghana with a long and inspiring journey in music. He started his career at just 16 years old, showing early talent and passion for music.
In 1984, Buadee moved to Belgium and made Ghent his home. In 1986, he teamed up with Patrick De Witte (PDW) to form SKYBLASTERS, the first real reggae band in Belgium. The band quickly became popular and made a strong impact on the reggae scene.
They performed on big stages and shared the spotlight with famous artists like Jimmy Cliff, The Wailers, Steel Pulse, and many more. Their music helped grow reggae in Europe.
The band later split in the early 1990s but came back together in 2005 to honor PDW after his passing. In 2020, they released a radio hit called “Just Another Day,” although their concerts were cancelled due to COVID-19.
In the late 1990s, Buadee started his solo career. His music focuses on real-life experiences, unity, and positive messages. Many people call him “Uncle Edward” because of his wisdom and influence.
In 2024, Buadee returned to Ghana to work on new music. This trip inspired him to record new songs, videos, and even a full album. It showed that reggae is not only from Jamaica—Ghana also has a strong voice in reggae music.
His latest song, “Let’s Get Serious,” talks about the world today and how people need to care for each other more. The song shares a simple but powerful message: we should take life and each other seriously.
Recorded in Ghana, the track has a real and meaningful vibe. The music video is also available on YouTube.
Buadee continues to use his music to spread positivity and awareness. His journey shows that music can travel across countries and still stay true to its message.
