Award-winning filmmaker and recording artist KNN (Kevin Nkem Nwankwor) releases “Genti,” a slow worship song and featured track on the Best of KevStel album, released by KevStel Productions & Publications.
While his wife fought liver cancer in the ICU and his daughter lay in the emergency room — both at the same time — Kevin found himself in a hospital hallway with nothing but faith. In that moment, Genti was born.
In the Igbo language of Nigeria, “Genti” means “Listen” — a command to stop, be still, and hear the voice of God when everything around you is collapsing. The song blends West African vocal tradition
with classical orchestral undertones, anchored by rich harmonies and a deeply personal testimony.
